Prince Ben Onuora

Prince Ben Onuora is a seasoned legal practitioner. He has over three decades of experience in the practice of law in the highest courts in Nigeria. He is a Principal Partner in Ben Onuora & Company (Benon Chambers).

Prince Onuora represents individuals, corporate bodies as well as government agencies in a wide range of complex matters. He is driven always by the need to proffer enduring solutions to the legal and business challenges confronting his clients. This partly explains his routine appointment by Banks and other Financial Institutions as a Receiver/Manager over a number of ailing companies. He has a Masters degree in Law from the University of Lagos. He has attended several courses and conferences organised by reputable bodies like the Nigerian Bar Association, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Securities and Exchange Commission, International Finance Corporation, etc., as a participant and resource person in Nigeria and overseas on law, insurance, directorship, ethics, corporate governance, and insolvency.

Prince Onuora had served the Institute of Directors (IoD) as Hon. Legal Adviser and member of the Governing Council. Until recently, he was a member of the Board of Governors of the IoD Centre for Corporate Governance. He is a private member of the Negotiation and Conflict Management Group, the Founder of the Lagos Multi-Door Court House, the first Court-connected Mediation Centre in Africa.

He is certified as a Capital Market Legal Consultant by the Securities & Exchange Commission.  He is a Notary Public for Nigeria.

In addition to his numerous public and private appointments, Prince Onuora is a Director of Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc and Vestor Group Limited. He is a valuable resource person whose opinion is regularly sought by the Media on law, ethics, and social issues in Nigeria and globally.
